Together with Singapore China Business Association, SCFA host a dinner banquet to bid farewell to Mr. Li Ming Lin, Counsellor of Commercial Consulate of Chinese Embassy, Ms Zhou Jianping, Education Counsellor, and Mr Chen Jiang, Cultural Counsellor on 6th January 2012.

2012年春节联欢晚宴：

|
与会员一年一度的春节联欢晚宴，于2月4日晚7时正，假醉花林俱乐部举行。
晚宴共150人出席，宴开15席。魏苇大使率戴兵政务公参、于海波武官、郑超经商公参、陈疆文化参赞和新任文化参赞肖江华以及使馆各处室代表与新中友好协会会长潘国驹教授及该会董事、会员等欢聚一堂共庆龙年。

2012 Lunar New Year Gala Dinner

SCFA's Annual Lunar New Year Feast was held on 4th Feb 2012 at Chui Huay Lim Club.
150 guests attended the gala dinner, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, His Excellency Wei Wei. The Minister Counselor, Mr Dai Bing, and other staff members from China Embassy also gathered to share the joyous moments with SCFA members. A specially-arranged karaoke session brought the night to a climax and the hype lingered on till the closing of the dinner.

接待深圳代表团到访

深圳市人民对外友好协会副会长孙怀忠率团于2012年3月抵达新加坡考察。代表团一行六人通过此次考察活动，了解并在以下几个方面向新加坡学习和交流：(1) 新加坡的基础建设 (2) 新加坡如何推行多语制 (3) 新加坡作为旅游胜地，有哪些方便游客的政策。代表团于2012年3月13日（星期二）下午拜访新中友好协会。我会假新加坡国立大学校友会款待深圳代表团。双方进行了很有意义的交流，提出在多个领域进行合作的可能。

Greetings for Shenzhen Delegation's Visit

Sun Huaizhong, Vice President of the Shenzhen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and concurrently a Deputy Director-General level official at the Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office led a six-member delegation to visit Singapore in March 2012. The objectives of the study tour are to understand (i) how Singapore's infrastructure supports our development as an international city, (ii) how we promote multilingualism both in society and schools in Singapore, and (iii) our policies in transforming Singapore into a tourist-friendly destination.
On 13th March 2012, SCFA host a reception at NUS Alumni House to welcome
the delegation. Both sides exchanged views and ideas to further strengthen
cooperation between the two organizations.
