第五届东盟-中国民间友好组织大会
2010年的第五届东盟-中国民间友好组织大会由新加坡作为主办国。新中友好协会很荣幸地成为第五届大会的承办组织。此次大会参与者逾500人，中国东盟协会会长頋秀莲女士率領共70位代表参加此次盛会，其次，印度尼西亚共有24名代表及展览者参加，第三大团体是来自马来西亚的14名代表。中国东盟大会论坛: 中国-东盟自贸区论坛数学与科学教育论坛: 于2010年7月28日2点到5点举行,参加人数有70人。论坛参与者众多,也收到了各方的好评,大家都觉得受益匪浅。人力资源与就业论坛: 于2010年7月29日下午举行,为本届最受欢迎的论坛,与南洋理工大学公共管理研究生院协办,多达170名听众出席。老龄化论坛: 于2010年7月30日上午9时到下午4时30分举行。中国东盟协会会长顾秀莲女士也亲自莅临。讲座涵盖四大主题, 保健、跨代关系与沟通、终身学习和财务保障。东盟会长顾秀莲女士对此论坛表示赞许。科技交流与合作论坛(新能源与环保、饮食与保健):与新中科技交流促进协会协办,介绍緑色科技概念和疾病预防与治疗的保健知识。
The 5^th Conference on ASEAN-China People-To-People Friendship Organisations
The Conference on ASEAN-China People-To-People Friendship Organisations (CACPPFO) is an annual event organised by ASEAN and China's friendship associations. Singapore is the host country for the 5th Conference and Singapore China Friendship Association was proud to be the organizer for this event. Five Workshops were conducted during the Conference. China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Mathematics and Science Education: It was held on 28th July 2010 from 2pm to 5pm with 70 participants. The workshop was well-received and beneficiary to all participants. Human Resource and Employment: It was held on 29th July 2010 afternoon. Nanyang Center for Public Administration,Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was the co-organizer of the workshop. It attracted 170 participants. Workshop on Ageing: It was held on 30th July 2010 from 9.00am to 4.30pm. The president of the China-Asean Association Mdm Gu Xiulian also personally attended the forum. The main objectives of the conference is to provide a platform for friendly gathering on a people-to-people level between the 10 Asean countries and China, as well as discussion opportunities to further strengthen the efforts in the five pillars of cooperation in economy, cultures, education, health and sports. The President of the China-Asean Association Mdm Gu Xiulian has highly commended the workshop. Technology Exchange and Collaboration: It aims to introduce green technology concepts, such as renewable energy and global warming and to look into the health issue on the prevention and therapy of diseases.

第五届中新论坛
新中友协理事、会员受邀出席第五届中国新加坡论坛。第五届中国新加坡论坛2010年9月16日至17日在新加坡举行。新加坡中国友好协会理事及会员参加了9月17日题为"评估新中关系和中国与世界"的论坛。许通美教授是此次论坛的组委会主席，潘国驹教授是组委会委员。其他组委会委员还包括王赓武教授、郑永年教授、 Kishore Mahbubani教授、Kesavapany教授和新加坡环境与前任水资源部常任秘书陈荣顺先生。
5^th China-Singapore Forum
SCFA members were invited to attend 5th China-Singapore Forum which was held in Singapore from 16th to 17th September 2010. SCFA members attended the forum "Evaluation of Singapore-China Relations&China and the World" on 17th Sep. Professor Tommy Koh was Chairman of this forum. Members of Organizing Committee include: SCFA President Prof Phua Kok Khoo, Prof Wang Gungwu, Prof Cheng Yung-nien, Prof Kishore Mahbubani, Prof Kesavapany and the current Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources Mr Tan Yong Soon, etc.

中国国家开发银行离退休局代表团
中国对外友好协会介绍中国国家开发银行离退休局局长张玉平一行5人于2010年10月中旬访问新加坡。此次代表团主要考察新加坡的乐龄问题及访问相关机构。新中友好协会理事潘国治先生为代表团的到访做了细致周到的安排。
Delegation from China Development Bank Retired Staff Department
A delegation of 5 people from China Development Bank Retired Staff Department, led by Mr Zhang Yuping, visited Singapore on October 2010. The delegation mainly the various measures taken in dealing with ageing population in Singapore and visited relevant organizations. SCFA Council Member Mr Phua Kok Tee made all the necessary arrangements for the delegation.

新中友协协办欢迎中国国家副主席习近平暨新中建交20周年欢庆午宴
2010年11月15日，新中友好协会协办了欢迎中国国家副主席习近平阁下暨新中建交20周年欢庆午宴。会长潘国驹教授、财政钟庭辉先生、董事黄选民先生、罗荣基先生、翁德生先生等出席了欢庆午宴。同日上午，新中友协会长潘国驹教授，董事黄锦西先生、云大明先生等受邀出席了新加坡"中国文化中心"奠基仪式。中国国家副主席习近平与新加坡国务资政吴作栋共同出席奠基仪式并为中心奠基。
SCFA Co-organizes Gala Lunch to Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Singapore-China Diplomatic Ties and Welcome Chinese Vice President
On 15th November 2010, SCFA jointly held a gala lunch with other Chinese societies to celebrate the 20th anniversary of establishment of Singapore-China diplomatic relations and to welcome His Excellency Xi Jinping. SCFA president Prof. Phua Kok Khoo, Treasurer, Mr. Chung Ting Fai, Council Members Mr. Ng Swan Meen, Mr. Loh Weng Kee and Mr. Ang Teck Sin were present at the gala lunch. Before the lunch, SCFA President Prof Phua Kok Khoo, Council Members Mr. Ung Gim Sei and Mr. Hoon Tai Meng, were invited to the "Singapore-China Cultural Center's Foundation Laying Ceremony." Guests of Honor for this event included Chinese Vice President Mr. Xi Jinping, and Singapore's Senior Minister Mr. Goh Chok Tong. The center is built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of establishment of Singapore-China diplomatic relations.

中国驻新加坡大使魏苇阁下于2010年11月5日邀请新中友协主要董事前往中国大使馆座谈并宴请与会董事。双方在亲切友好的气氛中进行了交流。出席活动的还有友协副会长Rohan Kamis, 财政钟庭辉，董事王如明、黄锦西、翁德生、黄选民等。
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Holds Talks with SCFA Council Members
The Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, His Excellency Wei Wei invited the key SCFA Council Members to a talk at Chinese Embassy. The two sides exchanged views on how to improve cooperation and exchanges between Singapore and China. His Excellency Wei Wei also held a dinner for the key SCFA members. SCFA Vice President Rohan Kamis, Treasurer, Mr. Chung Ting Fai and Council Members Mr. Ong Chu Meng, Mr. Ung Gim Sei, Mr. Ang Teck Sin and Mr. Ng Swan Meen also attended the event.

潘国驹会长与上海市人民对外友好协会会谈
会长潘国驹教授于2010年12月10日与上海市人民对外友好协会常务副会长汪小澍等进行了会晤。双方进行了很有意义的交流，提出了在多个领域进行合作的可能。潘教授提出，双方可组织一些中小企业、老龄委、教育等各界人士前往新加坡学习参观，寻找良好契机，找些知名度高的专家学者来开研讨会。汪小澍副会长表示赞同，他提出的合作方式有：1.组织中小企业和民营企业走出去学习，看看国外的老店是怎样传承和发展的；2. 每年8月举办为期两周的"青少年活动周"，以促进上海各中小学与新加坡中小学的合作交流；3.新加坡人是住在上海最多的外国人，可进行老年、青少年、妇女、教育界等各方面合作。
SCFA president Holds Talks with Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC)
Prof. Phua Kok Khoo, SCFA President held talks with Mr. Wang Xiaoshu, SPAFFC Executive Vice President on 10th Dec 2010. The two sides exchanged views on enhancement of cooperation. Prof. Phua said the two sides may jointly hold forum or conference on city planning, population ageing and so on. Mr. Wang agreed and suggested to enhance cooperation in the following areas: to organize small-medium-sized enterprises to visit Singapore counterparts; to organize primary and secondary school students to visit Singapore counterparts; to cooperate in other areas such as education , environment protection and population ageing problems.
