On the Occasion of the Celebration of the Tenth Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China, I wish to congratulate the Singa Sino Friendship Association on all the good work it has done in providing friendship, cultural and economic relations between the peoples of the two countries.
I wish you continued success in your endeavours over the coming years. In this era of globalisation, friendship and strong economic relations between countries and an understanding of each others cultures are even more important than ever. And in this, Singapore and China play a vital role. Over the years I have had strong relations with Singapore and with academic insitutions in China and its reunited Hong Kong and realise the importance of sound cooperative relations, both on the economic and cultural front. Warmest congratulations and best wishes for the future. |
