上海市科学技术协会来访
2017年11月6日上午，陆檩副主席带领上海科学技术协会一行五人拜访了南洋理工大学高等研究所，与南洋理工大学高等研究所所长、新中友协会长潘国驹教授及新加坡-中国科学技术交流促进协会（新中科促会）会长申泽骧教授等进行了交流，初步确定了日后的合作目标。

交流中，陆檩副主席介绍了上海市科学技术协会的基本情况。他表示，上海市科协配合自贸区的国家战略，在上海自由贸易试验区建立了海外人才离岸创新创业基地，努力为创业者提供低成本、便利化、开放式的空间载体为基础构建的综合性创业平台。期待与南洋理工大学及两个社团开展密切深入的合作。

潘国驹教授、申泽骧教授分别介绍了新加坡南洋理工高等研究所、新中友协以及新中科促会的基本情况，及近期组织的一些活动。潘国驹教授表示，新中双方科技交流十分频繁，高等研究所每年举办10-15个高水平的国际学术研讨会，每年共计有10多个诺奖得主到访参会。新中友协为促进新加坡和中国的民间交流及合作作出了很多贡献。同时，潘教授也介绍了陈嘉庚基金会和上海合作的青少年发明奖。他补充，上海有很多南洋理工大学的校友，上海和新加坡之间可以有更多的合作。他提议，新中科促会、新中友协和新加坡中国商会可以共同组织一个代表团，择机拜访上海市科协，探讨进一步合作的可能性，寻求多边合作新的模式。新中友协、新中科促会及南洋理工大学高等研究所相关人员参加了交流活动。

Delegation from Shanghai Association for Science and Technology
On the morning of 6th November 2017, A Delegation from Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) visited Institute of Advanced Studies, NTU. The Delegation was led by Mr Lu Bin, deputy Chairman of SAST, other 4 members from different departments of SAST. The visitors also exchange their opinions with committee members and staff from Singapore China Friendship Association, Institute of Advanced Studies of Nanyang Technological University(IAS-NTU), Singapore-China Association for Advancement Science & Technology (SCAAST).

On behalf of each organizations, IAS-NTU Director, SCFA President Prof Phua Kok Khoo, SCAAST President Prof Shen Zexiang welcomed the delegation and gave brief introductions about IAS-NTU, SCFA and SCAAST. Prof Phua said, the frequent scientific, technological and cultural exchanges between Singapore and China could promote understanding and deepen advance cooperation. He also suggested the three organization and Singapore China Business Association could pay a group visit to Shanghai, in terms of exploring cooperation possibilities and create new cooperation models.
