The China Film Festival 2017, jointly organized by SCFA, the Embassy of People's Republic of China in Singapore and the NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR), was successfully held from 22nd to 27th September 2017, at NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House.
The Film Festival kicked off in the evening of 22nd September. The Charge d'Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Mr Fang Xinwen, SCFA President, Prof Phua Kok Khoo, and the Director of OAR, Mr Bernard Toh delivered speeches at the Opening Night. More than 200 participants including guests from the Chinese Embassy, SCFA Vice-Presidents, Mr Ung Gim Sei, Mr Desmond Ong, and about 50 committee members and members attended the Opening Night. The Film Festival featured Mojin - The Lost Legend on the Opening Night, followed by Mojin - The Lost Legend, Go Away! Mr Tumor and Wolf Warriors from 25th to 27th September. The Film Festival received well responses and attracted more than 1000 audiences.
The China Airlines also sponsored a return Business Class air ticket to China at each night in the Lucky Draw session.
