"魅力东盟 • 走入中国"文化之旅

由中国对外友好协会、中国东盟协会、广西对外友好协会和东盟10国对华友好协会联合主办的"魅力东盟 · 走入中国"文化之旅开幕式于2014年6月17日至19日在中国广西防城港市成功举办。

我会交际组主任罗荣基先生代表新中友协应邀出席了上述活动。中国东盟协会会长顾秀莲，广西壮族自治区人大副主任刘新文、副主席张晓钦，防城港市市委书记金湘军、市长何朝建，泰中友协会长、泰国前副总理功·塔帕朗西，柬中友协会长，东盟秘书处副秘书长穆赫坦等东盟国家对华友好组织代表以及各国驻华使节，专家、学者200多人出席了开幕式。

本次"文化之旅"主要是为了配合中国-东盟文化交流年，通过论坛、图片展、文艺演出等一些列活动形式，让广大中国民众近距离感受东盟的魅力，进一步向世界展示中国和东盟人文交往的丰硕成果，推动和增进中国与东盟文化交流与合作。

活动期间举办了盛大的图片展览，相继展出了中国东盟民间友好组织大会8周年友好回眸、东盟10国旅游及文化特色活动等相关照片。新中友协向组委会提供了由我会主办的第五届东盟大会的珍贵照片。

Opening Ceremony of Charming ASEAN
• Approaching China Cultural Tour

At the invitation of the Organising Committee of the Charming ASEAN · Approaching China Cultural Tour, Mr Loh Weng Kee, Head, Social Activities, SCFA represented SCFA to attend the Opening of Charming ASEAN · Approaching China Cultural Tour in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi, China from 17 to 19 June 2014. This Event was jointly organised by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China-ASEAN Association, Guangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and 10 Friendship Associations of ASEAN Member Countries. Mdm Gu Xiulian, President, China-ASEAN Association was invited to deliver an Opening Address as Guest-of-Honour at the Opening Ceremony.

The Cultural Tour was following an excellent session at last year's China-Southeast Asia High Level People-to-People Dialogue in Nanning city and Fangchenggang city. It also marked 2014 as the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and ASEAN, which was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping during his State Visit to the Republic of Indonesia last year.

There was a Photo Exhibition with photos featuring activities of respective ASEAN countries and friendly exchanges between China and ASEAN. SCFA provided photos of the 5th ASEAN-China Conference organised by SCFA in Singapore from 28 to 30 July 2010.

It was a great success, attracting more than 200 participants.
