We are pleased to announce that the "Inaugural China Film Week" will be held at the NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House from 17 to 22 November 2012. This Film Week is jointly organized by the Singapore-China Friendship Association, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore and the NUS Office of Alumni Relations. Detail as follows:

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Singapore His Excellency Wei Wei, NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan, and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost Prof Tan Eng Chye have accepted our invitation to attend the opening ceremony as Guest-of-Honor. Some ambassadors of others countries in Singapore will also grace the event.

The auditorium at the NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House is as well-equipped as a first-class cinema. Prior to the commencement of each film, a 20-minute documentary on Chinese culture and history will be screened. Admission is free, but as the auditorium has very limited seats, only around 300, priorities would be given to our SCFA members. Interested members please register early, it is on first-come-first-served basis. \
