尊敬的会友们：

首先，让我对你们给我会十周年庆典一系列活动的大力支持，表示衷心感谢，没有你们的积极参与，我们不会得到这么圆满的成功。九月份的“新中之声”音乐会和十一月份的周年晚宴，都达到满座的盛况，令人激动。我会赞助邱瑞昭君从新加坡单骑万里闯神州的壮举，也提前七天（共七十三天。全程八千零六十六公里）顺利安抵北京。

中国驻新首任大使张青先生所著的《情怀新加坡》一书的新加坡版，已如期杀青，并已与我会十周年纪念特刊同时分发给各位。

我会在庆祝十周年的同时，也计划筹措义款新币十万元，资助中国贫苦学生，以表达我们对中国人民的友谊。至於地点与学校尚待另定。有关义款，希望你们各位慷慨解囊，捐款支持这项有意义的项目，数目随意。

Dear Members

First and foremost, allow me to convey to you sincere thanks for the support you have so kindly rendered to our Association's 10th Anniversary celebration activities. Without your participation, success would not have been possible.

It is most gratifying to note that both the Vocal Recital at the Victoria Concert Hall in September and the Anniversary Banquet at the Mandarin Ball Room in November were both overwhelmingly attended. The solo cycling trip from Singapore to Beijing . (8,000km) by Mr Khoo Swee Chiow, the event of which our Association was one of the two joint main sponsors was concluded without any hitch on 14th of November, one week before scheduled time of 80 days.

On the publication side, the Singapore edition of the book entitled 褾ond Memory of Singapore' written by Mr Zhang Qing, the 1st Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, had been distributed together with the 10th Anniversary Souvenir Magazine at the Anniversary Banguet, It is hoped that you will enjoy reading them.

In celebrating of our Association's 10th Anniversary, it was also our intention to raise a S$100,000.00 education fund in aid of school children in some poorer region(s) of China. This will be an expression on our part of our friendship for the Chinese people. The location(s) and the school(s) shall be identified and located when the fund is in place. I am appealing to your sense of generosity to help make this worthy project a success. Please feel free to contribute.

Let this be the crowning culmination of our 10th Anniversary Celebration!
